Exterior

  • Clean gutters and downspouts

  • Check gutters for damage/leaks

  • Inspect exterior caulking around windows and doors

  • Check exterior doors and hardware

  • Inspect deck/porch for obvious maintenance issues

  • Check exterior trim for signs of rot

  • Inspect siding for obvious damage

  • Check exterior vents for blockage

HVAC / Appliances

  • Replace furnace filter

  • Replace or clean HVAC filters

  • Clean dryer exhaust/vent

  • Inspect dryer vent termination

  • Replace refrigerator water filter (customer-provided or billed separately)

Plumbing

  • Check water shutoff valves

  • Check sump pump operation

  • Check water heater for obvious signs of leaking/corrosion

General Home Check

  • Test smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors

  • Check weatherstripping

  • Identify small problems before they become expensive problems
